What We Believe

A minister was asked why he used the Apostles’ Creed instead of the Nicene-Constantinople Creed. His response was that he thought the latter was too hard to understand, having concepts are not a concern in today’s church. While the Apostles’ Creed is simpler, I strongly disagree with the reasoning. The attack on Jesus may not be as direct as what the church faced when this statement was developed, yet there is no less of an attack today. If you’ve spent any time on the T4J site, you will quickly realize that we believe the church has a weakened view of Jesus at best. This is as much of an attack on his nature as that of the early heretics. So, to help our readers know where we stand, the following statements are given along with a brief explanation.
